Scott Elkins, Senior Executive

is a native of Northern Virginia. Prior to his career in commercial real estate he was Senior Vice President and Washington Area Executive for Corporate Banking for Sovran Bank and was responsible for financing hundreds of millions of dollars for both local and national companies as well as regional commercial real estate. For the past twenty-four years he has been one of the leading commercial real estate practitioners in the Washington region.
A graduate of East Tennessee State University, the Stonier graduate School of Banking at Rutgers, and the School of Credit and Financial Management at Dartmouth College, Scott is the Managing Member of Elkins Lane Realty Advisors, LLC, a multi-service commercial real estate consulting and brokerage practice. Rick Lane and Scott Elkins combine to be the top producing practitioners for Welchert’s Commercial division in the Washington metropolitan area. Scott has been a guest lecturer at Robert Morris Associates, McIntire School of Commerce of the University of Virginia, American Institute of Banking, Credit Management Associates, Small Business Administration and the Army War College. He is a former Trustee of the Red Cross of Alexandria, the Fairfax County Public Schools Education Foundation and has been active in a variety of civic, charitable, and professional organizations. Rick Lane has over thirty years of
experience in law and real estate. A graduate of both the
University of Virginia and the William and Mary Law School, he was a partner in a construction and real estate law firm in
Alexandria, VA for over ten years before entering the commercial
real estate business. In his practice, he represented Engineering
News Record top 100 firms litigating cases all over the country.
Prior to joining Elkins Lane he was a Vice President with the
Trammell Crow Company in Washington, DC, one of the largest
developers, owners, and property managers in the country. He has
ranked in the top two producing commercial agents for Weichert
Commercial in the Washington metropolitan area the last 5 years.
He has represented buyers, owners and tenants all over Washington,
D.C., Northern Virginia, and Maryland. A Washington, DC native, he
is able to build on relationships developed there over a lifetime.
